After her highly successful EDITH PIAF show here at The Edge last October, we’re thrilled to welcome back musical theatre actress Sally Jones (Evita, Into The Woods, Oliver) with her critically acclaimed tribute to one of the most successful songwriters of the 20th Century - the legendary COLE PORTER.
With world class songs made famous by the greats like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee and Billie Holliday, “YOU’RE THE TOP” takes the audience through the famous swing classics of the 40’s and 50’s and also celebrates the glorious and golden era of Broadway and Hollywood with the most memorable and catchy songs from Anything Goes, Kiss Me Kate and High Society.
In this thoroughly entertaining and uplifting performance Sally also gives a fascinating insight into the colourful and eventful life of this bon vivant - a life full of glamour, success, wild parties, challenges and also tragedy.

COLE PORTER was quite simply a genius and the pinnacle of wit and sophistication. From being one of the original Tin Pan Alley composers of New York City to his huge Broadway and Hollywood successes, he delighted audiences with a glittering torrent of over 900 songs. The bright surfaces of these gems - their catchy melodies and ingenious lyrics - made them instant hits. And their more subtle qualities and their musical and emotional depth have made them lasting standards, among the very best of the celebrated Great American Songbook.
