Flag Day Retirement Ceremony and hot dog cookout

Join the Broomfield Veterans Museum for their annual Flag Retirement Ceremony and hot dog cookout. Throughout the year, they receive hundreds of old flags from the community that need proper retirement, and they need help doing it. There will be a brief ceremony to honor the flags and then work together to retire Old Glory. We also will enjoy a hot dog cookout.

The Flag Retirement Ceremony is an event for all ages and will take place in front of the Broomfield Veterans Museum close to noon following the museum's Coffee and Conversation event.

This weekend's C&C features Peter Lagasse a retired U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lieutenant Colonel who will describe how the U.S. Army created ports for embarkation and disembarkation of supplies and troops during the Vietnam War.

The museum is also opened from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
