IIM Hosts 5th Annual “Stoop Baptism Service” – Faith, Culture & Community on the Block
What: A bold, open-air baptism and block revival that turns a Brooklyn street into a place of faith, unity, and healing. Dozens will be baptized publicly on neighborhood stoops, joined by families, elected officials, the NYPD’s 88th Precinct, and community leaders.
When: Sunday, August 31, 2025 | 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Where: Institutional International Ministries | 170 Adelphi Street, Brooklyn, NY 11205
Why:
In a summer when NYC neighborhoods have been grappling with gun violence and division, this event offers a rare, uplifting story of faith meeting culture—similar in spirit to Harlem Week, SummerStage, and Brooklyn block parties, but with a unique spiritual and community-driven focus.
Quote:
“This is more than a church service—it’s a movement to prove that Brooklyn’s greatest strength is its people, united in hope and healing. Watch God Work!” — Pastor Alex L. Williams
