Rebecca Mac String Band

Led by Boston-based Rebecca Mac (of the award-winning klezmer ensemble, Mamaliga), the Rebecca Mac String Band plays intricate and off-beat arrangements of original fiddle tunes, drawing inspiration from the traditional soundscapes of Klezmer and Eastern-European folk music. With their debut release scheduled for March 2026, the Rebecca Mac String Band is one of the most exciting new klezmer groups on the scene today.

Rebecca Mac is Boston-based violinist and violist, regularly performing in various ensembles including Mamaliga, the Rebecca Mac String Band and Yiddish-song trio the Soloveychicks. Mac has performed nationally and internationally at Yiddish music festivals including KlezKanada, Yiddish Summer Weimar and Yiddish New York. In addition to performing regularly in the Jewish music scene, Mac runs a regular, and inclusive Klezmer jam in downtown Boston.
