The Free Black Women's Library is a grassroots funded literary hub, social site, Black Feminist archive, and community care space that features over 5000 books by Black women and Black non-binary folks, as well as a wide range of free public programs, special events, and creative workshops, a free store, period pantry, backyard garden, virtual reading club, and weekly book swap.

Nature As Craft (Read/Write/Create)
Our Read/Write/Draw series invites you to read, write and/or create a new work of any kind inspired by our theme/focus for the month. You are welcome to write a poem, short story, or essay, create a zine, drawing or collage. We have plenty of supplies on hand and you are also welcome to bring your own.
Our theme for September is Nature.
Folks are welcome to work alone, in pairs or small groups.
This session is curated by the creator and main steward of the library, OlaRonke Akinmowo and will start at 3PM sharp.
We will break at 3.45 and again at 4.15 for open sharing.
All are welcome.
