Oceanic Global and Corona are on a mission to clean up 100 beaches and remove 1 million pounds of plastic waste by 2025. Since 2021, Oceanic Global (“the Guiding Partner”) has partnered with Corona USA to host a nationwide series of volunteer Community Cleanups across the country as part of the ‘Protect Our Beaches’ program. Each year the program includes a series of Community Cleanups which are supported by mission-aligned local NGO partners.

to continue showing support for protecting our neighboring Atlantic Ocean through the final designation of Hudson Canyon as a National Marine Sanctuary. It’s critical this designation moves forward!

  • Starting 100 miles SE of the Statue of Liberty is a magnificent underwater canyon—the Hudson Canyon— the size of the Grand Canyon and the depth of 7 Empire State buildings.
  • Hudson Canyon is home to hundreds of wildlife species, from giant and threatened whales and dolphins, sharks, and sea turtles, to soaring seabirds and deep-sea corals. Plus numerous species important to fisheries, including tilefish, squid, crabs, flounder, and tuna.
  • Whether we are aware of it or not, we depend on this rich environment: from local, commercial, and recreational fisheries to wildlife tourism to the massive ships that are entering/exiting one of biggest ports in the world, to a network of deep-sea communication cables connecting us to the rest of the world. And yet this unique ecosystem has few permanent protections; and is vulnerable.

Wildlife Conservation Society’s goal is to conserve the world's largest wild places in 14 priority regions, habitat for around 50% of the world’s biodiversity and a wide range of charismatic megafauna.

The challenges are greater than ever, but with the focus, dedication, and passion of a committed staff—combined with a unique mixture of field, zoo, and aquarium expertise—WCS will continue to set the bar for science, conservation action, and education that has driven our success in protecting wildlife and wild places for over a century. WCS saves wildlife and wild places worldwide through science, conservation action, education, and inspiring people to value nature. WCS envisions a world where wildlife thrives in healthy lands and seas, valued by societies that embrace and benefit from the diversity and integrity of life on earth.
