Intro to Somatic Practice and Movement Workshop (PT III)

Welcome to another Intro to Somatic Practice & Movement Workshop!

You are invited to an intentional, explorative, and safe space as we learn practices to experience and honor our bodily sensations.

We will learn some somatic fundamentals and vocabulary inspired by the work of Staci K. Haines, Erika Lyla, Nkem Ndefo, and Richard Strozzi-Heckler. Then we will ease into simple and inquisite movement/body centered healing exercises inspired by Dr. Martha Eddy, the Strozzi Institute, and the Laban Movement Analysis.

We will be engaging with each other in groups, in partnerships, and with our individual somas. Whether you are new to somatic practices or looking to deepen your understanding, this workshop can be joined by anyone.

Join me at The Brooklyn Arts Exchange Studios located at 421 5th Ave in STUDIO D. As you enter, please tell the receptionist you are here for the STUDIO D Somatic Workshop. This workshop is on Sunday September 14th, 3 PM - 5 PM.
