Guided Grief Walk by Talk Story Collective

Talk Story Collective presents a guided walk through grief in Greenwood Cemetery. **note that previous workshops have been at Governors Island but October will be held at a different location in Brooklyn!**

Date: Sunday, October 26th, 2025

Time: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Location: Sole Cafe near the Green-wood Cemetery.

Our October event will be guided by TSC co-producer Kelsey Angel Baehrens, based on a beautiful event previously hosted by our friend, storyteller, and community organizer, Rozette De Castro.

In this month, when our relationships with spirit and loss are at the top of hearts and minds, we want to gather members of our community who are seeking a quiet place to introspect and come home to themselves.

Each participant will be provided a map of the cemetery and get to choose their own adventure! Whether you want to focus your walk on the loss of a loved one, loss of relationship, loss of self, loss of hope, we have scavenger hunt quests designed just for you. You’ll be offered audio materials for grounding, guiding questions, and a notebook to capture your discoveries. Once you feel ready to rejoin the group, we’ll meet at the koi pond at the end of your path to have a snack, share our experiences, and write a letter to who or what you grieved on your walk.

We encourage bundling up, bringing water, your phone fully charged, headphones, and a snack to share!
