Endangered Rainforest Rescue is a women- and Indigenous-led nonprofit dedicated to protecting and restoring critical rainforest habitats while supporting the Indigenous communities who steward them. The organization is currently leading the creation of a permanently protected corridor in Panama’s Darién Gap, a critical missing link in the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor. This work restores rainforest connectivity between North and South America for wide-ranging wildlife, including keystone species such as the jaguar.
Alexandra Climent is the founder of Endangered Rainforest Rescue and has led over a decade of conservation efforts in the Darién Gap. She was recently named New Explorer of the Year by The Explorers Club and has spoken at major global forums including the UN Biodiversity Conference (COP16), Climate Week New York, and the Global Sustainability Summit in India.
