Join us at Flatbush Library this fall of our three-part lecture series on Caribbean history. We are hosting a range of scholars and authors from across the Caribbean diaspora to share their research and insights as part of this exciting free lecture series. In our final lecture of the series, we will host Dr. Laurie Lambert on Thursday, December 2nd to discuss her research on the Black feminism and the role of women in Grenada's Revolution.
Dr. Lambert is Associate Professor of African and African American Studies at Fordham University in New York City. She is the author of Comrade Sister: Caribbean Feminist Revisions of the Grenada Revolution (2020, University of Virginia Press). Lambert received her B.F.A. in Film Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) in Toronto, Canada, as well as an M.A. in English from the University of Toronto. In 2013 she completed her Ph.D. in English and American Literature at New York University. She is the daughter of Grenadians and grew up between Toronto and Grenada.
