Brooklyn Mourners Common is a monthly in-person gathering for people who have experienced the death of a loved one — a space to share, reflect and find support in the company of others who understand. While there’s no roadmap for grief, there is community. The Brooklyn Mourner’s Common invites all grievers – no matter who they lost or when – to join this circle where we express, acknowledge, and process grief together.
Jennifer Bleyer, LMSW, is a therapist who works in private practice and community mental health settings. A longtime Brooklynite, she is passionate about fostering a sense of community and connection among those who have experienced loss; normalizing and honoring grief, and creating spaces where all feelings are welcome.
