Former Greenlight neighbor Barbara Wansbrough (now based in Los Angeles) launches her debut Wild Things, a luminous, unforgettable work about loss and the radical clarity that comes when everything falls away. When B loses her favorite sister M—taken too young and too suddenly, under the strange and quiet shroud of the pandemic—she sets out, in the absence that follows, into the vast wilds of L.A.'s Griffith Park with her dog, walking uphill and down each day in search of understanding, of peace, of reconciliation; and guiding us gently toward a place we all must reach—where much can be left behind and a new wisdom awaits, B writes.
