KI is thrilled to kick off the new year with a special, two-day visit from distinguished Israeli diplomat, peace negotiator, legal scholar, and author Daniel Taub.
About the Weekend:
📅Friday, January 16: Shabbat Dinner (Approx. 7:15PM)
Jewish wisdom for navigating difficult conversations in divisive times.
📅Saturday, January 17: After Kiddush (Approx. 12:45PM)
Becoming a founding generation again: new challenges for Israel and its supporters.
Earlier this year, Taub released Beyond Dispute: Rediscovering the Jewish Art of Constructive Disagreement—winner of the Rabbi Sacks Book Prize and a masterclass in helping us become “clearer thinkers, better listeners and more optimistic about the world,” according to esteemed author, journalist, and KI friend Daniel Gordis.
Taub’s career reflects a deep commitment to dialogue, diplomacy, and the moral foundations of international relations. Serving as Israel’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2011 to 2015, Taub played a pivotal role in strengthening bilateral ties, expanding academic and cultural exchange, and championing respectful engagement even in challenging political environments. From 2015 to 2021, Taub served as Director of Strategy and Planning of the Yad Hanadiv (Rothschild) Foundation.
