On Sunday 24th August between 2-4pm, the Sonnet Wind Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Maw, will be performing a free concert on The Bowie Bandstand, Croydon Recreation Ground, Beckenham BR3 3PR.

The programme will include music by Elmer Bernstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stevie Wonder, Errol Garner Brian Reynolds, Barry Manilow, Rupert Bond, Claude-Michel Schonberg, Christopher Frost, Quincy Jones, Dmitri Shostakovich and other well-known marches, themes and new music written for the ensemble.
Sonnet Wind Orchestra is an ensemble comprised of a pool of 30+ accomplished musicians giving their time for free performing in concerts and fundraising events across London and the South East. Venues include bandstands, churches, community halls and shopping centres. The ensemble has raised hundreds of pounds for worthy causes including the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal, Guy’s Cancer Charity, Refuge, RNLI, London’s Air Ambulance as well as local charities.
