Are you new to sewing? Don’t worry — this workshop is perfect for absolute beginners! We’ll keep everything simple, straightforward, and fun. You’ll learn all the essential hand sewing skills to confidently make visible repairs and basic alterations, helping you to repair, reuse, and recycle your clothes—saving money and reducing waste.
What You’ll Learn:
Easy hand sewing stitches used in many repairs
How to hem skirts and trousers with neat stitches
Creative ways to repair rips and holes using visible mending techniques
Tips for sewing on buttons, badges, and labels correctly
Basic patching and darning using the beautiful Sashiko method
Top tips for seam repairs
In this session you need to bring something of your own to work on or get advice on the best way to mend and restore it, this is an interactive session where we guide and instruct you, we wont be repairing this for you !
