Beginners Crochet Course

Have you admired the variety of Crochet that is around at the moment from tops, jumpers, blankets and bags and thought I'd love to give that a go? Or maybe you are looking for a new hobby to help your wellbeing and take a break from the stresses of everyday life. You may have tried YouTube videos and wondered why your efforts aren't looking as good as the one in the video and you don't have anyone to ask where you've gone wrong. Well here is your chance!

Our experienced instructors will guide you through all the basic stitches and techniques to achieve a lovely finished project. Each week you will learn a new stitch or technique and we will aslo teach you to read beginners crochet patterns and charts.

Crochet has many benefits, it is a great way of expressing creativity, working with colour and texture and producing unique items that no one else has.

It develops resilience in overcoming problems and errors, it generates a great sense of achievement and self esteem when new techniques have been learned and projects completed.

We can use crochet to upcycle some of our clothing and reduce the impact of fast fashion. Put your own stamp on existing clothing or textiles

This Workshop is limited to a maximum of 8 people so that everyone gets a good level of attention to be sucessful!

We regularly take photographs at our events to support us explaining what we do, and keep our funders informed. If for any reason you would prefer not to have your image included, please discuss this on arrival with the event leader.

The Hub is located upstairs in The Glades next to HMV and Waterstones.
