TOURNAMENT UPDATE!!!
The beneficiary for this tournament will be for a friend of the CCVC's, Lihem! He is the bravest 12 year-old boy out there. In his short life, he's undergone 6 surgeries due to his Treacher Collins Syndrome diagnosis. In June, he will be undergoing Rib Graft Jaw surgery, his biggest surgery to date! This surgery will be long, painful, and require a significant amount of out-of-pocket costs for Lihem and his family. Let's show Lihem the CCVC way!
This is a K/QOTC style format! Our plan is to run two separate K/QOTC tournaments simultaneously with one net for women (24 women) and one net for men (24 men). The women's height QOTC will be played on a women's height net. Please note that if we do not get enough signups, we may either do teams of 5 or combine into one net. We will confirm the final format prior to the tournament date.
There will be a total of 8 rounds of 2-12 minute timed games per round. Teams are randomly drawn by playing cards and grouped by suit: Hearts, Diamonds, Spades, Clubs. Each game, the total amount of points scored will accrue for each player, individually. At the end of rounds, Highest scored players will be crowned our King and Queen!
Check in will begin at 9:00 AM with play beginning by 9:30 AM. We expect to complete play by 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM with announcement of our winners to immediately follow. Pizza will be available for participants (likely around noon).
Kindly, no beginners, for safety purposes. Level of play expected is high-rec and above! The CCVC reserves the right to decline entry to tournaments based on multiple cancellations or skill-level assessments (that are approved by the broader CCVC committee).

We kindly request that you prepay to reserve your spot. This will show up as a donation instead of a payment due to our 501(c)3 status. If you must cancel, please do so as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, May 23 by 9:00 AM. Because of the holiday weekend, we will require 48 hours notification for cancellation for this tournament as spots will be harder to fill. Please note that refunds will not be provided if you cancel with less than 48 hours notice.
Absolutely NO OUTSIDE alcohol at this location! There will be a bartender for the tournament. Support our venue hosts! If you are caught violating this rule, you will not be refunded and will be banned from all future CCVC tournaments and leagues at this location.
Spectators and children must remain a safe distance away from play so as not to interfere. You will be financially liable for any damaged property from you or your guests. Children MUST BE SUPERVISED. The CCVC is not liable for any injuries or damage to personal property for participants or guests.
