By submitting an application, participants agree to have their home photographed and release the use of photographs and address for publicity purposes in the Broadway Lions Club and Town of Broadway publications. The Broadway Lions Club will create an address directory to be published on the Lions Club website and Broadway Lions Club and Town of Broadway social media pages for the judging.
Details:
All homes within the Town of Broadway limits are eligible. Entries will be judged based on curbside appeal only. Decorations are evaluated on creativity, appearance, and effort. Participants’ lights and displays will need to be on the weekend of December 19-21. During the weekend of December 19-21, spectators can pick up an address directory/route and scoring sheet near the Dropbox at Town Hall (116 Broadway Ave). Once judging is complete, spectators will place their scoring sheets back in the Dropbox at Town Hall indicating which one home scored the most points and was the overall favorite. There will be no online voting. The top three homes with the most votes win the People's Choice Awards sponsored by Beards & Broads and Sweets Ice Cream. The winners will be announced on Monday, December 22, on social media and the Broadway Lions Club website.
Tips:
-Drive safely and be on the lookout for pedestrians walking in neighborhoods.
-Please utilize cul-de-sacs, not driveways, to turn around while judging.
-Visit Heritage Park (180 Turner Avenue) and take in the spectacular lights.
-Keep your ears open for Christmas tunes coming from a few of the homes.
-Have fun!
