Afternoon Tea @ Kingsgate Castle

We open the doors of this historic private residence dating back to 1760.

During your visit, for your enjoyment, we will offer you our exclusive Castle Blend tea (coffee also available) in very special handmade teacups, some local treats, and you will have the opportunity to discover our decorations and furnishings from an inspiring selection of new talents and companies practicing creative social responsibility. These decorate the cliffside corner of the castle, where you will sit in the stately drawing room, which features a listed mural from when the castle was a hotel catering to the rich and famous. We also have a library of 700+ books for your perusal.

While this is a private residence, we aim to support new talent and companies with the goal to make the world a better place; in doing so many of the items you see will be available to purchase or can be commissioned to fit your needs. It is a living showroom. This is also the most unique non-traditional book “shop” you will ever encounter.

The donation for your visit will support these initiatives and the maintenance of this heritage landmark. Payments are made to Great Nest Limited and the events are managed by Creatives Wings Limited. For private hire or parties greater than six people, please get in touch.
