Through the Eye of a Needle

Our 2025 spring play (following the theme of "mismatched relationships") is a 1920s romantic comedy written by František Langer, translated by Petr Pecha, and adapted by Czech Theater. A clever poor young woman meets a lost wealthy young man. Will their love end in tears and tragedy... or in a successful milk bar in Prague?

Join us on a journey back in time to 1925. After one of the worst pandemics in human history and a devastating world war, and just before fascism took hold, there was a pause between the wars, when many things were dark but a trip to the theater was a chance to escape reality and imagine a life that was as light and sweet as a bowl of whipped cream. For our audience: 1920s theater-wear is eagerly welcomed (but not required).

Tickets are 250 czk for regular tickets, and 300 czk for late planners.
