The Burning Hell je proměnlivé uskupení kolem apoštola kanadského D.I.Y. rocku Mathiase Koma a multiinstrumentalistky Ariel Sharatt. The Burning Hell servírují svůj pestrý indie-rockový sound v neodolatelně cynických písních o radostech apokalypsy a kráse lidské neschopnosti.

The Burning Hell is the ongoing musical project of songwriter Mathias Kom and multi-instrumentalist Ariel Sharratt, often including additional comrades and collaborators. Their densely populated genre-shifting songs are packed with an abundance of literary, historical, and pop-cultural forebears, heroes and villains, subjects and objects, stories and hooks. They move with heavy rhyme and a light step, incorporating a frequent fixation on apocalypse and ruin into work that celebrates participation in a mutually created, ever surprising, and even occasionally beautiful world. Which is to say they’re good dance partners and they want to dance with you.
Now based in the woods of rural Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island), The Burning Hell has famously ventured to every out-of-the-way island and inland neglected by the less adventurous, emphasizing presence and connection across latitudes, longitudes, and time, affirming a commitment to the political power of sharing music. It is a profoundly optimistic gesture delivered by way of killer tunes and joyful live performances.

známý také jako Jimmie Kilpatrick je hudebník, pedagog a interdisciplinární umělec žijící v Brandonu v Manitobě. Od roku 2009 pravidelně koncertuje a vydává desky u torontského labelu You’ve Changed Records. Kilpatrick se začal věnovat rock and rollu na začátku roku 2000 jako člen kultovní indie skupiny Shotgun and Jaybird z východního pobřeží. Objevil se na nahrávkách Johna K. Samsona, Christine Fellows, Joela Plasketta a By Divine Right. Jeho album Transistor Sister z roku 2011 se dostalo do dlouhého výběru na kanadskou cenu Polaris Music Prize.

a. k. a. Jimmie Kilpatrick is a musician, educator, and interdisciplinary artist based in Brandon, Manitoba. He’s been touring regularly and releasing records on Toronto’s You’ve Changed Records since 2009. Kilpatrick cut his rock & roll teeth in the early 2000’s, as part of the seminal east coast indie outfit Shotgun and Jaybird. He has appeared on recordings by John K. Samson, Christine Fellows, Joel Plaskett and By Divine Right. His 2011 release Transistor Sister was long-listed for Canada’s Polaris Music Prize.

Urband se pohybuje na scéně už třetí dekádu. Proměnlivé složení původně pouliční kapely se ustálilo na trojici Vladimír Červenka (kytara, zpěv), Pavel Všianský (kontrabas, zpěv) a Tomáš Vtípil (housle, zpěv). Neučesaný projev Urbandu býval charakterizován jako pouliční šraml. V posledních letech se tento striktně akustický band, jemuž na pódiu stačí jediný mikrofon, dopracoval ke zvuku, kterému kapelník Vtípil říká 'konceptuální cajdák'.
Tuto hudbu Urband nabízí i na albu aktuálním albu Asfalt.
