Monthly Sling Clinics take place at Zion Bristol on a Thursday from 10:15am to 11:45am. This will take place in the Andy Lewis Room (not the main cafe, where Stacy's Sensory Story Time for under 4s takes place at the same time).
Appointments aren't necessary, but it is helpful if you contact Anna beforehand so that she knows to expect you and can have suitable slings or carriers available for you. Fitting fees are charged according to the support needed, from £5 for up to 15 minutes or £10 for up to 30 minutes. Due to time constraints at Sling Clinic, if any of the following apply:
• you aren't sure what type of sling might suit you;
• you want to try multiple options before hiring;
• you or your baby has medical issues;
• you have multiples and want to tandem carry;
• you want to learn a particular skill, such as back carrying, using a woven wrap, breastfeeding in a sling/carrier;
You might prefer to book a one to one consultation at a time to suit you in your own home or at Carry on Slinging HQ in Ashton BS3. Prices start at £10 for 20 minutes on Zoom, £18 for 30 minutes at HQ, and from £35 at your home/another venue.
Rather than allowing access to the whole library of slings at these sessions, I will ask you to fill in the questionnaire (bit.ly/CoSSupport) beforehand so that I can select suitable slings/carriers for you to try during your appointment. If there is a particular sling or carrier that you wish to try, you can request this and I will do my best to facilitate this. Note that where slings are already on hire, or require washing on return from hire, this may not be possible.
Sling/Carrier hire is £10 per fortnight (must be returned to Carry on Slinging HQ) or £18 per 4/5 weeks (until the next monthly meet at Zion Bristol).
If you know the sling/carrier that you wish to hire, you may reserve it for collection at the session (without fitting, though links to videos showing how to use it will be provided by email). You will be required to complete an online hire form and make payment beforehand so that you can just collect it without a fitting.
