Next Friday on 15 August, we will come together as a nation to commemorate the Second World War generation, paying tribute to the British and Commonwealth veterans who served in Asia and the Pacific as well as those who made the ultimate sacrifice for peace.
On VJ Day 80, let us honour the over 365,000 British and 1.5 million Commonwealth troops who, by 1945, had served across Asia and the Pacific, and reflect upon the Second World War’s lasting legacy.
We will be holding a silence to commemorate this in the garden at 12.00 so please to come along and enjoy the peace of our garden 🙏🏻
