July Sketch Meet: Cumberland Basin

For our July event, we’ll be sketching in and around Cumberland Basin.
There is an absolute WEALTH of things to draw/paint, including: views across Cumberland Basin/River Avon towards Clifton/Suspension Bridge and Leigh Woods; Lockgates adjacent the Plimsoll Swingbridge (between the river Avon and Floating Harbour); harbour boats in the basin adjacent the Nova Scotia; and old warehouse buildings (eg. Create Centre) etc etc.
Note: in the event of rain, you can even sketch under cover of a flyover!
MEETING POINT: Outside Noah’s seafood restaurant, 1 Brunel Lock Rd, Bristol BS1 6XS (it’s situated under one of the flyovers) at 11am prompt (plenty of car parking nearby). We’ll sketch until 12.45pm and then re-convene outside Noah’s to share our sketches.
Afterwards (for those who fancy a drink), we’ll move just across the road to the Nova Scotia pub (1 Nova Scotia Pl, Bristol BS1 6XJ).
