Branch Line Society and our rail industry partners are pleased to offer a series of special shuttle charter trains to accompany your visit to the spectacular “The Greatest Gathering” event at Alstom in Derby. Even if you didn’t manage to get a ticket to the sold out event, make sure you book and join us to experience the excitement and interest that these shuttles will provide, immersing yourself in the historic and unprecedented events that are taking place in celebration of Railway 200.
We are operating two shuttle trains each day, both connecting into Chesterfield and/or Derby, depending on your travel requirements. We have timed the trains to allow you tie in with your visit to the Greatest Gathering Event in Derby.
Each Shuttle is available to book separately, so feel free to book them all, or the ones that are of interest to you. And please notice our excellent accompanied under 18s price of £1, so feel free to bring the whole family out for a ride around the East Midlands.
All times and routing are indicative until confirmed by Network Rail. Final routing and timings are usually confirmed by Network Rail five days before travel and will be enclosed with your e-ticket.

2 x GBRf Class 69 (Barrow Hill Sidings - Derby - Chesterfield)
Derby P6 (PU 14:15) - Toton Centre - Alfreton - Chesterfield - Sheffield - Woodhouse - Beighton Jn - Barrow Hill Up Sidings - Belper - Derby P4 (SD 17:04) - Toton Centre - Chesterfield P3 (SD 18:00)
