🎉🚣♀️ Get Ready for the 2nd Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta! 🚣♂️🎉
Bring your creativity, teamwork, and sense of adventure for one of the most fun (and slightly soggy) events of the season!
🛶 Your Mission:
Build the best boat you can — out of cardboard! Then take it to the water and race against the competition!
📦 ONLY Permitted Building Materials:
Cardboard
Paper
Duct Tape or Packing Tape
Note: You may NOT paint or color the cardboard. No other materials allowed!
📐 Boat Guidelines:
Any shape you like — but sides can't go higher than your elbows.
Tape is allowed only on the bottom and seams.
Must have your own cardboard paddle — no outside paddles allowed!
🧍 Safety First:
Under 18? Life jacket required while on the water.
18 and over? A life jacket must be in the boat for emergencies.
Parent/Guardian MUST be present for all participants under 18.
🚫 Important Rules:
Boats must be built before race day and pass inspection.
Teams must remove their boat and any debris from the water afterward.
No sabotage or roughhousing — this will result in disqualification.
All racers MUST attend the pre-race safety meeting before the event.
