Our beginner classes focus on learning the basics of Irish dancing in a friendly and supportive environment. If you are completely new to Irish dancing, or haven’t danced for a while and would like to brush up on the beginner dances, this class is for you!
Each class contains a balance of technique and choreography in soft shoe, and later, hard shoe styles. After warming up, we'll start with a simple group dance, and then break into smaller groups to learn choreography and technique. We often finish the class with another group dance or drill.
Classes are taught by our director Katie, an experienced and qualified Irish dance teacher with a supportive and friendly teaching style. As dancers build their repertoire, they will learn and practice six beginner Irish dances – Reel, Light Jig, Hop Jig, Slip Jig, Heavy Jig and Hornpipe.
Whether you wish to dance for fun and make friends, or push yourself with a new challenge, enjoy the craic of Irish Dance with our welcoming community.
Classes are booked in advance using the ticket link. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions!
