A History of Bristol Zoo

Coming up on July 27th, A History Of Bristol Zoo from Martin Hall.

Martin, a former employee at Bristol Zoo will take us through its fascinating history from its opening in 1836 to when it closed in 2022. We'll learn about its role in wildlife conservation, about the beautiful gardens and hear the stories of some of the most famous residents. Martin will also tell us about the Zoo's continuing conservation work at the Bristol Zoo Project at Cribbs Causeway.

The proceeds from tonight's talk will be donated to a dementia cafe where Martin is involved as a volunteer.
