A hugely respected DJ in his hometown of Birmingham and long-term resident for club nights
including Leftfoot and Magic Door, Sam Redmore truly broke onto the UK music scene in 2022,
serving up slice after slice of original eclectic dancefloor goodness with debut album Universal
Vibrations, a release packed full of quality global grooves that had the ability to light up any party.
Radio support came fast, with BBC 6 Music spinning tracks from the album hundreds of times
(including over 100 plays for the single Nagu) and Sam contributing guest DJ mixes for a wide
variety of shows including Craig Charles, Huey Morgan, Afrodeutsche and Cerys Matthews. The
album also picked up spins on BBC Radio 1, NTS, Rinse FM, Worldwide FM, Jazz FM (where it was
awarded Album of the Week), plus overseas support from the likes of KCRW (LA), FIP (France) and
2SER (Australia).
October 2024 saw Sam release his second album, Modulate. Receiving strong support across the
board, Modulate is a collection of music made with the dancefloor firmly in mind, involving a
combination of electronic and programmed sounds with organic, live instrumentation. The album
features collaborations with internationally esteemed artists including Dele Sosimi and MC
Abdominal, as well as Pride, a track originally commissioned as the theme music for comedian Joe
Lycett’s stand-up show.
Taking inspiration from many different kinds of music - from house, disco, broken beat and funk
through to afro latin styles including afrobeat, cumbia, salsa and samba - Sam’s own productions
reflect an eclectic and deep rooted musical knowledge that shine through in his DJ sets.
Whether it’s an all night long session taking the crowd on a musical journey that transcends musical
boundaries or a solid two hours focusing in on the choicest disco, house and broken beat cuts
around, Redmore has the skills, experience and know-how to move any dancefloor.
