Monday morning 6 week Jewellery course

This course runs for 3 hours per session (10am-1pm), with the option to extend indefinitely and is ideal for beginners and all levels alike. The emphasis is on self directed projects under the expert guidance of our highly trained tutors. Each student will be guided through the basics of jewellery making and introduced to the hand tools and equipment that are essential in the jewellery making process. Over the course students will be given the opportunity to explore the following skills - -piercing (cutting) -milling and rolling -annealing (heating) -melting -forming (hammering, doming and shaping) -soldering -sizing -texturing -filing -papering (finishing process) -polishing -sand casting -lost wax casting Prior to the class we will send you a welcome letter and induction form via email. This will contain all the things you will need for the day. We look forward to meeting you. Each student will be given a small amount of silver material to get started any additional materials and workshop consumables will be available to purchase via your tutor. Student are also welcome to recycled their silver or gold jewellery under the advise of the tutor.
