Led by NLT board member and local naturalist Doug McRae, this walk will explore a remarkable mix of habitats including Provincially Significant Wetlands, a vibrant old field in early succession, and a young, diverse forest featuring local tree species. This property is also part of an Important Bird Area and home to over 20 Species at Risk!
If nature’s timing is on our side, you might witness an unforgettable sight—hundreds, even thousands, of Monarch butterflies fueling up for their migration south.
The walk is easy and accessible along a flat, mowed grass trail—perfect for all ages. Bring your binoculars, cameras, and curiosity!
Date: Saturday August 23rd
