Curious about junk journaling but not quite sure what it is? Junk journaling is a creative, low-pressure art practice that combines collage, mixed media, and journaling, using everyday and found materials to create beautiful, textured pages.
Led by instructor Lorrie Royce, this workshop invites participants to explore layering, texture, and visual storytelling in a relaxed, supportive setting. There’s no “right” way to do it — it’s about play, creativity, and self-expression.
What You’ll Learn & Experience:
* What junk journaling is and how it differs from traditional journaling
* How to layer paper, fabric, lace, and ephemera to create rich collage pages
* Simple techniques for composition, texture, and visual storytelling
* How to create interactive elements like pockets, tags, and tuck spots
* Tips and ideas you can continue using at home
This workshop is perfect for beginners, paper crafters, journal lovers, and anyone looking for a relaxing, creative, and fun hands-on experience.
No prior art experience required — just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
