The story so far...
After the success of LagoonFest 2024, the Friends of Hove Lagoon committee is taking a fresh approach this year. Instead of another large-scale festival, we’re focusing on a more intimate, family-friendly event that celebrates our community, with a special nod to its four-legged members and younger residents!
Don’t worry, LagoonFest hasn’t disappeared, but for 2025, we’re putting our energy into something equally special on a smaller scale.
We are delighted to introduce Dogs & Sprogs, a brand-new event that will bring together families, dog lovers, local businesses, and the Lagoon community for a fun-packed day.
We’re grateful to our event partners, Coastway Vets and Hove Village Nursery (also an event sponsor), for their support.
You can look forward to:
• A lively Dog Show (categories released soon, so you can get practising!)
• Children’s Entertainment area packed with activities
• Performances from Mr Pineapple Head and shows by Long Nose Puppets
• Themed stalls and local traders
• Delicious food vendors and ice cream van
• An ever-popular Lagoon Gather Inn bar
The entire event will be run by Friends of Hove Lagoon volunteers, and we’d love your help! Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet neighbours, support your community, and help keep the Lagoon a vibrant hub for all.
Lagoon businesses will also be welcoming visitors in their own ways on the day, making this a true celebration of all things Hove Lagoon.
How can you help make Dogs & Sprogs a success?
• Volunteer your time (in the planning before or on the day)
• Come along, support local traders, buy raffle tickets, and enjoy the day
• Enter your dogs and sprogs in the fun events
• And of course… cross your fingers for sunshine on 6th September!
