Each 4-man team must adhere to the following rules:
Faction Uniqueness: No faction (as defined by its Detachment source) may be duplicated across the team. (e.g., two players may not both run Necrons using the same detachment book/ruleset).
Variants like T’au and Farsight Enclaves are treated as the same faction if from the same codex.
This also applies to space marine variants
Legends & Unreleased Models: Not permitted
Counts-As / Conversions: Must be clear and approved by TO in advance.
Pairing System
Each round, teams will pair their players into 4 individual matches using the following process:
Roll-off: One team wins the roll-off and chooses to attack or defend first.
Defenders Chosen: Both teams secretly select one defender.
Attackers Offered: Opponent offers two attackers to face the defender.
Defender Chooses: Defender picks one attacker; unchosen attacker returns to pool.
Repeat steps 2-4 until all players are paired.
Note: Teams must use strategy and matchup knowledge to optimize pairings.

Terrain Rules:
Standard WTC layout 2025 (customizable)
Terrain keywords (Obscuring, Light Cover, etc.) will follow official guidance.
Predefined terrain maps will be used for fairness.
Terrain rules will be published before the event with clear diagrams.
Terrain: Each board will have 10 ruins & 2 containers on.
Each ruin is 9" long. Four are 9.5" in height. The other Six are 5.01 in height (Though these 6 pieces of terrain also have a smaller than 4" ledge along them.
All terrain is set to WTC standards & I will attach the most up to date map images to this event.
Every Board is Legion specific & we have 18 boards. Though it's up to you to guess the Legion they belong to 🙂
Scenery basing: We have 10 Perspex bases for each board (180 in total). These are the WTC standard template. So, 12" by 6". They are clear Perspex, so you can still see the awesome battle mats beneath.
Some scenery is on textured bases, so it is easy to tell the dimensions of those too.
Terrain placement: Terrain will be set up using 1 of the standard WTC terrain set ups. So, please refrain from moving it about & if you have to (as you place a model tray on the board) Place it back where it was originally
Parking: Brighton is generally horrific for parking but if you arrive before 09:00hrs it is much cheaper & 5 mins walk to the pub

Travel: There are really good rail links from every direction in to Brighton & the pub is roughly a 10 minute walk from Brighton station
