Author Visit -- Emily Urquhart

Author Emily Urquhart is joining us at Colborne Library on Thursday, August 21st at 6:30pm, for a talk based on her book, “The Age of Creativity”, inspired by her father, artist Tony Urquhart!

As Tony continued his art practice into his eighties, many were surprised by the persistence of his creativity. This reaction led Emily to investigate a common assumption: that creativity declines with age. In this visual lecture, she shares her findings on aging and creativity through personal stories, artist biographies, and images of late-stage artwork, revealing how creative expression—whether amateur or professional—can nourish and sustain individuals in the third act of their lives.
