Sonic artist Bela Emerson is resident at Brighton Dome's Anita's Room in July '25.
Join Bela for this intimate public event where they'll be presenting brand new live work from the residency, responding to your questions about their work and processes, and launching an exciting new project.
This residency is part of a trilogy on the theme of self-connection and nervous system regulation: Fabrica Brighton's 2024 Turning My Cello Around, and Positive Ambisonics in April 2025.
This trilogy builds on an Arts Council England DYCP grant (2023-24), exploring sound, movement, and embodiment, within Contact Improvisation, 5Rhythms, and Wheel of Consent.
Bela's practice draws on 20+ years of professional performing/touring/sessions with acoustic and electric cellos, an array of guitar pedals, and a deep commitment to improvisation & attentiveness - plus a 12-year professional community music / in healthcare practice (Brighton & Hove Music for Connection / Wishing Well).
