We Live in Time (15) - 7.30pm screening

Our June screening is the critically praised We Live in Time. There’s nothing inherently romantic about running down a stranger in your car. But from this unpromising start blossoms one of modern cinema’s great love stories. The woman behind the wheel is Almut (Florence Pugh), a former figure skater now working as a high-end fusion chef. The man flying over her bonnet is Tobias (Andrew Garfield), a breakfast cereal sales rep who has just been served his divorce papers.
Even at the hospital – with Tobias’s swollen head now resembling a pumpkin that’s been kicked down the stairs – the spark between them is undeniable. But while this young couple seemingly have it all ahead of them, fate has other plans – and suddenly the clock is ticking.
The Town Hall will open from 6.30pm when refreshments and the Town Hall Bar will be available, with the screening starting at 7.30pm.
