This Sunday we have the authentic sounds of early blues and ragtime with our most popular of visitors,
Veronica Sbergia & Max De Bernardi from Milan, Italy as part of their European Tour, who will take us back, playing passionate country blues and ragtime, hokum, jug band and rural music from the 20's and 30's.
They like to keep this precious musical heritage alive, using strictly acoustic instruments such ukulele, washboard, kazoo, and resophonic guitars, faithfully reproducing its original sound whilst playing it with a modern twist.
Max and Veronica perform americana from the early years of the last century reinterpreting great songs by artists like Big Bill Broonzy, Memphis Minnie, Jimmie Rodgers, Sidney Bechet, Lucille Bogan, Bo Carter, Delmore Brothers in their own unique style.
Previous winners of the European Blues Challenge ,Veronica & Max regularly perform in the USA, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Norway, Spain, England, Italy and Poland.
For those interested in the fun of early ragtime, authentic blues, combined with exceptional guitar playing, this is a gig you should not miss.
