AWS74 will be held on the 3rd of May in the West Midlands, about 7 miles from J2 of the M5.

There is onsite parking available & a bus stop right outside the venue, as well as hotels and a large shopping centre a few minutes down the road. There are a few train stations somewhat close by also.
We will be arriving to setup at 9am, if anyone wishes to help that would be appreciated. I hope to have tech check up & running by 9:30 & starting the competition by 11:00, with the intention of ending by 6:00.
Weight limit will be strict 150g plus the usual 50% bonus for walkers as well as the new 150x150mm size limit. Remember that all switches must have On/Off marked clearly, must be positioned in a place accessible without tools & not within the travel of weapons. Spinners must also have locking mechanisms. We will be checking.
I will be looking at doing the fight night format for the main competition, although this will be subject to change depending on the number of signups. There will also be an opportunity to win a new championship outside of the main competition, stay tuned for more details!!
The venue has some but probably not enough power outlets, please bring extension leads if you can. The venue has kindly offered us the use of their tuck shop & will be selling snacks & hot drinks. There is also a few takeaways close by as well as a supermarket & a lot of the usual fast food outlets at the shopping centre.
There will be an entry fee of £4 per entry, which will be going towards venue costs. Signups will close the day before, hope to see you all there!!
