Highlands End Farm Open Day

We are excited to introduce our first ever Farm Open Day! The events are all completely FREE and are open to guests staying at any WDLH Park, as well as families living locally.

The events will be held at the front of the Park, with some outside by our Farm animal pen, and some under the covered area in the Martin’s Bar & Restaurant beer garden.

From 11am-12pm:

Meet & Greet the Alpacas and Sheep – take selfies, ask questions and maybe get a chance to feed them

From 12pm – 3pm:

Farm Themed Paper Craft – make a paper alpaca, sheep or tractor to take home
Dig for Dinosaur Bones and Worms – discover hidden treasures
Sit on a Tractor – old and new!
Land Rover Photobooth – take some fun photos and pretend to drive a traditional Land Rover
Feel the Fibre – information board about alpaca fibre and wool and why it’s so great

All day:

Alpaca fibre socks and merchandise – for sale in the Park SPAR
Hedgehog Hedgerow Trail – explore the hedgerows surrounding the Park and learn interesting facts along the way
Highlands End Nature Trail – a longer walk around our farmland, visiting the wildlife lake and collecting letters to make a word
