This is going to be a long post but I'm hoping there will be people that can help! I've had a bit of a wild idea but I need help to make my idea come together and to give my boys a day to remember! Bit of a back story below.
This is my incredible little boy Louie! 🦁🦸♂️ Louie is 4 years old and has a rare genetic condition called XIAP deficiency, this condition currently only effects 100 people in the whole world. Louie spent 7 months in Great Ormond Street Hospital in 2023 due to having a bone marrow transplant, Louie had a complicated transplant and sadly developed a brain infection called HHV6, unfortunately this meant Louie has had to relearn to walk, talk and do literally everything again. Louie underwent testing when he was just 4 months old & has spent the majority of his life in & out of hospital due to him being immune compromised & developing infections. Unfortunately we got the devasting news that Louie needs another Bone Marrow Transplant due to his donor cells dropping, hyperinflammatory & increased risk of him developing HLH which is a life threatening condition.
Louie has absoultely smashed everything life has thrown at him & he is always happy smiling and is very cheeky so to celebrate Louie and give him a day he deserves we are are going to throw him a little (big) fun day with his family & close friends before he goes in for transplant again and back to isolating.
This is where we need your help! Louie absolutely loves any kind of vehicle so we are hoping to get as many together as possible to do a drive by, toot their horns & go wild for him! 🚔 🏎
For example super cars, classic cars, vans, motorbikes, lorries, tractors, diggers, buses, fire engines, police cars (if we are lucky enough as he loves nee naws as he calls them) or any other type of vehicle to join us on this mission to make a dream come true. We would really appreciate it so much if we could take an hour of people's time to make this dream a reality!🏍🚘🚔🚒🚑🛵
We are planning on making this happen on the Saturday 16th August, meeting at Morganians Rugby Club, The Clubhouse, Chedzoy Lane, Bridgwater, TA7 8QW, who have kindly let us use their car park as a meeting point for 1pm to start the vehicle drive by at 1.30pm, drive along the kingsdown estate so Louie & his brothers can see all the vehicles & then finish at Stogursey Village Hall, 32 Tower Hill, Stogursey, Bridgwater, TA5 1PR so Louie, Oscar & Jenson can see all the vehicles up close & have pictures.
