Bridgwater Fire Station is now recruiting for new On-Call Firefighters.
We will be holding this ‘drop in’ event to meet and greet those who are interested in joining our team.
Those wishing to attend will have the opportunity to meet some of the team and ask any questions you may have about becoming an 'On Call' Firefighter in your local community.
Do you live and or work within a specified time of Bridgwater Fire Station?
On-Call Firefighters is a paid role. Your availability time is paid, alongside responding to incidents and programmed training.
Applicants are welcome from anyone who can respond within a specified travel time of Bridgwater Fire Station.
Applicants will need to offer an averaged amount of daytime cover as well as weekend cover too, from either home or the workplace.
Training to become an On-Call Firefighter is carried out over a period of time known as ‘Firefighter Development’ and will involve attending various courses as well as weekly training commitments at the fire station.

Are you over 18 or will you be over 18 in 6 months time?
Are you able to attend Bridgwater Fire Station within a specified time of a call out?
Do you want to be part of a team?
Do you want to learn new life saving skills?
Can you respond and help your community?
