Beginners Braiding Lessons

Hi, my name is Sheri!
I’ve been working with natural hair for over 20 years, and I’m also a licensed barber. I’ve spent my career caring for hair — from cutting and shaping to braiding and styling — and now I want to give back to the community.

That’s why I’m hosting a Beginner’s Braiding Class — to help parents, guardians, and future stylists learn the basics of braiding and natural hair maintenance. If you’ve got little girls or boys with long hair and you’re struggling to keep up with it, this class is for you. I’ll walk you through proper sectioning, tension, parting, product use, and techniques that actually last — even between salon visits.

This is a safe space to learn, ask questions, and grow your skills. Whether you’re learning for your child or looking to start a new path in hair, this is my way of pouring into others just like people once poured into me.
