Peace Talks Artists Talk

Please join us for an artist talk on the closing day of the juried national exhibit, Peace Talks, this Saturday, September 20 from 2 to 4 PM. Hear from some of the artists in person as they discuss their inspiration, their process, and their thoughts on the topic of peace, one that feels more relevant today than ever. Charles Douthat, one of the Peace Talks participating artists, will also share from his newly released book of poetry, Again, exploring the ways we carry those we've lost, finding in memory not just pain but also unexpected mercy. From California beach towns to New England woodlands, these poems remind us that even our deepest wounds can open into moments of startling beauty and revelation.

In addition, featured artist Jennifer Moné Hill will be talking about her exhibit, Beneath the Surface. Best known for her bold use of color, Jennifer infuses her abstract artwork with movement, positive energy, and feelings of happiness and joy.
