As Summer continues her vibrant cycle, and leads us steadily down the path towards Autumn, nature is thriving, as so much still flowers, and the berries, fruits and nuts of the trees begin to show in abundance.
In this vibrant and educational walk through a beautiful country park full of paths that take you through magical woodland, connect with the wisdom of Mother Nature, as you learn how to identify the plants and trees around us, and how you may wish to bring their teachings into every day life.
Along the way, we will meet a variety of trees and plants, stopping to learn about their individual characteristics, how they grow, their relation to the environment, edibility, what parts can be used to create home remedies, and how to work with them respectfully, and safely.
Halfway through the session, we’ll be taking a break for lunch, following which there will be a section of the walk where you will be shown what you will need to know and use to make your own home remedies. This will include ways you can create them with methods such as:
Infusions
Decoctions
Tinctures
Herbal oils
Herbal salves
Flower essences
Herbal syrups
Herbal honey
Elixirs
There will be some examples of the above for you to experience, as we learn about how working with natural remedies can not only benefit all areas of our lives, but also deepen our connection to the natural world.
Additional information for the day.
Whatever your prior knowledge or experience, the workshop itself will be an engaging journey through the landscape, interacting with what’s growing, as we enjoy the beauty and uplifting spirit of what nature brings.
