HBTS Presents Annual Performances of Peter and the Wolf at CMEE

The Hampton Ballet Theatre School (HBTS) is excited to perform the delightful ballet Peter and the Wolf on July 27th at LTV Studios and July 31st at Children’s Museum of the East End. The production is a collaboration between the Hampton Ballet Theatre School, the Hampton Festival Orchestra and narrator Josh Gladstone.

Peter and the Wolf will be danced by the students of the Hampton Ballet Theatre School. The ballet is choreographed by HBTS director Sara Jo Strickland and features the beautiful costumes of Yuka Silvera and Kate McManus. The score will be played by the Hampton Festival Orchestra, a group of professional musicians hailing from the East End. They are conducted under the passionate precision of Dr. Andrew Perea.

Sergei Prokofiev’s famous score introduces the ballet’s characters as the sounds of musical instruments. The East End community will be enchanted by this magical interpretation of a classical masterpiece.

CMEE: Thursday, July 31, 2 SHOWS, 4:30 & 6:30
