Astrophotography Workshop at Cedar Breaks National Monument

Unlock the cosmos with our two-day introductory astrophotography course at Cedar Breaks National Monument. Here, you will learn to capture the stunning beauty of the night sky in one of the most pristine stargazing locations in the country. During this workshop, participants will become acquanted with the properties of various camera formats, exposure times, and composition. Join us on September 12th and 13th to discover the art of photographing celestial wonders while immersed in brethtaking landscapes and expert guidance.

Required Materials:

• Camera: DSLR or Mirrorless
• Wide angle lens (stock lenses are suitable for this workshop. An f stop lower than 3.2 is preferred)
• Tripod
• Red-light headlamp
• Extra memory card
• Extra batteries, if possible
• Warm Clothing
• Thumb drive

Recommended Materials:

• Remote shutter control
• Camp chair
