ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Weekly Friday Meets at 4:00pm : 1 Hour Class Instruction + 1-2 Hours Hands-On Learning
Shoot for Greatness: Youth Photography & Filmmaking Program is an 10 -week immersive experience designed to empower students to tell meaningful stories through the lens. Whether they’re picking up a camera for the first time or already creating content, students will learn the fundamentals of photography, video production, editing, and creative storytelling.
Each week blends hands-on instruction with real-world practice — guiding students through professional techniques like framing, lighting, sound, interviews, and slow motion. No gear? No problem. We provide the equipment and expert coaching every step of the way.
The program culminates in a high-energy final project: students will serve as official media crew for the World-Famous Harlem Wizards Basketball Camp, capturing game footage, interviews, and behind-the-scenes highlights.
By the end of the program, every student will walk away with:
A personal photo & video portfolio
Hands-on experience covering a live event
Practical skills in editing tools like CapCut & Canva
A Certificate of Completion — and a new sense of creative confidence.
