Camp With A Canine

We're excited to bring back Camp with a Canine, a special opportunity to give one of our amazing dogs a much-needed break from the shelter environment. Whether you head out for a hike, pitch a tent, or simply enjoy a weekend of fresh air, your temporary adventure companion will benefit from the enrichment, socialization, and love you provide.

This year, we've partnered with River City Outdoors to make camping more accessible for all. Participants will have the opportunity to borrow camping gear from their Gear Lending Library after attending a quick Zoom training session on May 14 at 6 pm.

If you happen to fall in love with the dog you take on your adventure, we'll waive the adoption fee for the week. But even if you're not looking to adopt, your time and care will make a meaningful difference for a pet in need.

Gear & Pet Pickup Times at the APA:

Friday, May 23: 5:00-6:30 pm

Saturday, May 24: 9:00-11:00 am

Pet Return & Gear Drop-off at the APA:

Tuesday, May 27: 5:00-6:30 pm
