Time to tackle the worst of it! Labor Day Weekend is usually our most productive, and boy does the East side of the highway need it!
We will meet at Bremerton Airport parking lot on Hwy 3 at 10am. Safety brief, paperwork, and gear issue shortly after.
We will clean for at least 3 hours, but you can tap out any time you need/want to. Even cleaning for 30 minutes helps! Afterwards we will meet at Caseys in Belfair for lunch, where I buy everyone a beverage. 🍺
Minimum age to participate is 18, or 15 WITH parent/guardian present.
It’s August. Please dress for the weather.
Expect anything from direct sunlight to a little rain. The ground is rough and uneven (possibly muddy), so sturdy footwear is required. (No sandals. No Crocs) Long pants strongly encouraged, as there is also lots of blackberry bushes.
Bags, gloves, hi-viz safety vests, and pickers will all be provided. You can bring your own gear, but hi-viz vests must be Class 2 or higher. (We have plenty, so don’t worry)
The end of summer is our peak time to clean, as the weather becomes a determining factor from here on out. Hoping to get as many more cleanups in before we shut down for the rainy season.
We’ve been doing great so far this year. Let’s keep the momentum going and keep ahead of the litter accumulation! 🤘
